Leaving Certificate CAO Grades and Points Statistics

Below are 3 interactive graphs which are supposed to inform you of the distribution of grades and CAO point from 2018 to 2023 with the hopes of allowing students to formulate realistic expectations for what they're likely to achieve both on a subject by subject basis, grades wise and just overall, points wise in their exams.

We've tried to make these graphs as large, as beautiful and as simple to read as possible, because quite frankly no one likes small ugly graphs which are hard to read. The graphs and the data they include are :

To change the year of the data shown in the graph, you can use the dropdown menu shown to the top right of each graph. The sources for all the data shown can also be found at the top of each graph if students wish to see previous years not included.

We recommend using a desktop computer to view the graphs since there is so much data, you really have to hover over each point with a mouse to see it all. As previously mentioned the graphs are interactive meaning you can zoom in and out by simply clicking and dragging the mouse over the region you want to zoom in on.

Every piece of data given by the SEC and CAO offices have been included in our graphs making these the most comprehensive statistics on the internet as far as we are aware.(For some reason other websites tend to omit subjects which are not common like Swedish and Slovakian because few candidates sit these subjects, but we think including these not so common subjects is very important!)
